The Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a reduction in fuel prices in its latest monthly review, offering relief to motorists and households across Kenya.
According to EPRA, the price of Super Petrol has decreased by KSh4.24 per litre, Diesel by KSh3.93 per litre, and Kerosene by KSh1.00 per litre.
New Fuel Prices in Nairobi
Following the review, motorists in Nairobi will now pay:
- Petrol: KSh178.28 per litre
- Diesel: KSh166.54 per litre
- Kerosene: KSh152.78 per litre
The revised fuel prices will take effect at midnight on February 15, 2026, and remain in force until March 14, 2026.
Impact of the Fuel Price Reduction
The latest EPRA fuel price adjustment is expected to ease the cost of transport and reduce pressure on the prices of goods and services. Changes in fuel prices typically have a ripple effect on the broader Kenyan economy, influencing inflation and the cost of living.
Kenyans will be closely monitoring global oil market trends and future EPRA reviews to see whether the downward trend continues in the coming months.
