Israel Warns Iran Missiles Could Reach East Africa, Nairobi at Edge of Strike Range

Israel has cautioned that parts of East Africa could fall within the strike range of Iran’s long-range missile systems, raising fresh geopolitical concerns.

East African Cities Within Range

According to the warning, several regional capitals—including Addis Ababa, Mogadishu, and Juba—are within an estimated 4,000-kilometre missile radius from Tehran.

This places them squarely within the potential reach of Iran’s advanced missile capabilities.

Nairobi at the Edge

Nairobi, however, is said to lie just beyond that core range—approximately 4,400 kilometres from Tehran—placing it at the outer edge of the possible strike radius.

While not within the primary zone, the proximity has sparked discussions around regional security and preparedness.

Rising Global Tensions

The warning comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East involving Iran, Israel, and their allies, with growing concerns over the reach and sophistication of long-range missile technology.

Security analysts note that such capabilities could reshape global threat perceptions, extending potential risk zones beyond traditional conflict regions.

Authorities across East Africa have not issued official responses, but the development is likely to intensify conversations around defense, diplomacy, and regional stability.
