A woman who lives along Jogoo road was arrested and presented in court after she was captured on camera stealing cooking oil from Muindi Mweusi supermarket.

According to the police, Vivian Achieng stole five liters of cooking oil and hid it between her legs. The incident happened on January 21 and was reported at the Jogoo Road police station prompting a search for the suspect.

On the stated date, the court was told that Achieng was captured on camera while committing the offense and then headed to the exit. The court was also told that the woman had been caught on camera committing the same offense at that particular supermarket.

While appearing before the Makadara Chief Magistrate Francis Kyambia, Achieng pleaded guilty to stealing. The court has however ordered that the cooking oil should be tabled before it in order to make a decision on the matter.
