The dead body of a 25-year-old woman named Malkia was discovered in her rented one-bedroom house in the Kwa Ndomo area of Magarini, Kilifi County. The residents of the area were taken aback by the shocking discovery, made at approximately 6 a.m.
Malkia, known for her occupation as a seller of local brew Mnazi, had been cohabiting with her lover since October 2023. The house they shared was rented by the suspect, identified as a lorry driver, as confirmed by Mama Rebecca, the landlady of the property.
The suspect had reportedly started living with the deceased towards the end of 2023.
An assistant chief of the area confirmed the incident and promptly notified the police.
Malkia, a mother of three, was well-known in the local community, adding a layer of sorrow to the untimely loss. The circumstances surrounding her death and the details of the incident are now under investigations by police.
