Police in Muguga village, Kabete, Kiambu County, have apprehended a 43-year-old man who allegedly broke into his ex-wife’s residence and viciously attacked her and another man present in the house, a month after their separation.
Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect’s attempt to flee proved unsuccessful as a crowd of residents gathered, compelling him to barricade himself inside the house.
The police were called, and upon their arrival, they took control of the situation and transported both victims to the hospital.
Kabete Police Commander Anthony Mbogo confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect is now in custody at Muguga police station. Meanwhile, the victims, who sustained severe injuries, have been admitted to Thogoto Hospital for further medical treatment.
