Detectives are investigating an incident involving Joseph Mwenda Munoru, popularly known as ‘DJ Joe Mfalme’ who is accused of murdering an officer working for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) alongside his bouncer driver, photographer, and three police officers.

According to investigations, the DJ and his entourage were en route to Kikuyu when they were caught up in a minor traffic collision, escalating into a violent altercation resulting in fatal consequences.

According to police reports, seven individuals are currently under scrutiny as investigators delve into the details of the incident. Allegedly, they assaulted Inspector Felix Kelian Kentos on March 16, 2024, at Kabete Directorate of Criminal Investigation office, leading to his demise.

The quartet, along with the police officers, was apprehended by detectives from Kabete Police Station tasked with probing the matter. It is claimed that the altercation ensued following a road rage incident, resulting in severe injuries to Kelian.

Furthermore, it is alleged that the officers present at the scene also engaged in the altercation. Kelian, who succumbed to his injuries on Friday while receiving treatment at Nairobi West Hospital, had been admitted due to abdominal pains and other injuries sustained during the altercation.

Following his passing, Kelian’s remains were transferred to Umash Funeral Home as investigations into the incident persist. A postmortem examination was conducted on Saturday at the mortuary, while colleagues paid their respects during this challenging period.

Authorities are also seeking to locate additional witnesses, including motorcycle taxi riders present during the incident, to aid in their investigation.
