Several people are feared dead after a bus belonging to Tahmeed Company collided head on with a fuel tanker along the Kisumu Busia Road.
Five injured passengers were rushed to the Busia Referral Hospital for treatment.
The bus, which was heading to Nairobi, caught fire as a result of the accident making it difficult for those on board to escape.
The bus was burnt to a shell following the incident that happened a few minutes past 1pm.
