A German citizen identified as Netzband Tim Marvin, who had been accused of sexually exploiting a child, was released by a Kilifi court on a Sh1 million bond with two Kenyan sureties.
Marvin is facing charges of child trafficking, child pornography, and promoting sexual offenses with a child, alleged to have occurred between January 1 and February 9, 2024.
“The charges allege that on February 6, 2024, at an undisclosed location within Kenya, he promoted a sexual act to a 15-year-old child by distributing a nude picture via his WhatsApp account on his mobile phone,” stated the prosecutor.
The case is scheduled to be heard on February 14.
