A female police officer was brutally murdered in her house in a village in Bungoma in a domestic fight
The victim, identified as Constable Tiffany Wanyonyi, was attacked in her own home by her husband. Tiffany, who was attached to the Kiwanja police post in Kahawa West, Nairobi, had returned to Bungoma on March 28 to attend her grandmother’s funeral.
Reports indicate that she was off duty and had already laid her grandmother to rest before the unfortunate altercation occurred. Following the argument with her husband, Tiffany suffered fatal injuries inflicted by a sharp object, resulting in multiple deep cuts to her neck and head.
Her assailant surrendered to authorities at Mbakalo police station following the incident. The police recovered a panga, believed to be the murder weapon, from the scene of the crime.
