In a notice released on Friday, the Director of the Meteorological Department highlighted that the affected areas would primarily include the Highlands west of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley region.

“Rainfall is anticipated over several areas, including the South Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the South Eastern lowland, and the Coast,” the department stated.

Counties such as Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi are expected to experience maximum temperatures exceeding 30°C during the daytime.

Meanwhile, coastal counties including Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale are likely to see minimum temperatures of more than 24°C.

Residents are urged to stay informed by utilizing the daily (24-hour) forecast issued by the Meteorological Department. Additionally, county-specific forecasts can be obtained from the offices of respective County Directors of Meteorology.

Furthermore, Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta Counties are expected to endure high daytime temperatures exceeding 30°C during this period.
