A 40-year-old woman appeared before a Kisii court on Monday over the defilement of a 17-year-old boy in Kisii’s Gucha South sub-county.

Vane Moraa Ondieki committed the offence within Bomanyama sub-location, the prosecution told Resident Magistrate Violete Moguche sitting at the Etago Law Courts.

The suspect however denied the allegation, refuting claims that she molested the said minor on April 3, 2024.

The court admitted her to a Sh200,000 surety bond with a Sh100,000 cash bail alternative pending a mention on May 2.
