A man attacked and seriously injured his mother before taking his own life in Kilgoris, Narok County Thursday.
According to the police, the assailant initially engaged in a heated argument with his elderly mother.
The assailant first used a sharp machete to attack the elderly woman.
After leaving his mother wounded at the scene, the assailant retreated to his house, where he locked himself in where he was discovered hanging from a truss with a manila rope tied around his neck. The grim discovery took place on April 2.
Upon receiving reports of the incident, police swiftly responded to the scene. They found the elderly woman suffering from severe injuries and promptly transported her to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
