A man has been slapped with a life imprisonment sentence by Kithimani Law Courts for defiling two minors.
In a statement by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the culprit identified as Isiah Maweu Lucas is said to have committed the heinous crime in Athi River.
According to reports presented to Principal Magistrate Khapoya, the middle-aged man enticed the young victims by promising to provide them with fish from the River Athi.
However, the situation turned grim when the victims were discovered unclothed in a densely vegetated area by their grandmother and a neighbor.
The ODPP underscored that the prosecutor presented compelling evidence, including testimony from six witnesses, conclusively proving Isiah Maweu’s commission of the sexual offense. This egregious act is a clear violation of section 8(1)(2) of the Sexual Offences Act.
