Kenyan musician Nviiri The Storyteller, born Nviiri Sande, has officially parted ways with Sol Generation Records after a fruitful five-year journey with the label.

In a heartfelt statement titled ‘Unveiling a new chapter in my musical odyssey,’ the ‘Kitenge’ hitmaker expressed profound gratitude for the support, mentorship, and platform provided by Sol Generation and its visionary force, Sauti Sol. Nviiri expressed his intention to carry forward the lessons learned, cherish the memories made, and uphold the bonds forged during his time with Sol Generation.

“Dear fans, friends, and fellow music enthusiasts, it is with immense gratitude and excitement that we announce the culmination of a remarkable chapter in Nviiri The Storyteller’s musical journey. After five incredible years under the nurturing wing of Sol Generation Records, we bid farewell with hearts full of appreciation for the invaluable support mentorship, and platform provided and the visionary force behind it, Sauti Sol.”

The versatile artist also conveyed his excitement for the upcoming chapter in his musical odyssey, promising boundless creativity, bold innovation, and global impact. Nviiri extended heartfelt appreciation to Sauti Sol and Sol Generation Records for shaping his trajectory and propelling him to greater heights.

Concurrently, Nviiri introduced his new management team, with Maisha Wirth serving as his immediate manager, Jamie Alderson as the international manager, and Indiya Oliver as the bookings manager.

Nviiri joined Sauti Sol’s owned record label in 2019. In a previous interview with Nairobi News, Bien disclosed that both Bensoul and Nviiri would eventually part ways with Sauti Sol in 2024 and 2025, respectively, referring to them as Sauti Sol’s proteges.

He emphasized that they still had time with the record label, working on their individual albums before the year’s end. Additionally, Bien revealed plans to introduce new artists to the label, following a successful collaboration with Bensoul and Nviiri spanning over three years.

He highlighted the meticulous process of identifying and signing new talents, emphasizing the importance of thorough consideration and engagement before making any decisions.
