TV 47 has acquired the services of K24’s chief crime reporter Franklin Wallah in its latest salvo against established media houses as it seeks bring in new eye balls, sauce.co.ke can report.
Wallah handed in his resignation at the Mediamax owned TV station one month ago and has been on leave pending his move to TV 47 to lead their crme desk which is currently being revamped in order to create compelling content.
On Tuesday, Wallah officially announced his departure from K24 on his social media pages without revealing his next career move.
In a social media post, Wallah praised the management of Mediamax for giving him the chance to refine his skills and establish himself as a well-known reporter in his specific area of expertise.
“They say when a baby begins to crawl is when his journey starts. In short, I wish to announce my exit from K24,” announced Wallah.
“I would like to thank the management, my colleagues and fans who lauded my investigative work throughout my career.”
Wallah has mde a name for himself through the long running series Jicho Langu and The Crime Beat which air crime stories during prime time news.
The journalist has been at the forefront of numerous crime stories that garnered national attention, including his detailed feature uncovering the murder of social media influencer Starlet Wahu.
Additionally, he has broken stories on various other incidents, such as the Yala killings, Mauaji ya Wambui, Teen Sex Parties, Giza la Gaza, and Kisirani Kisauni, among others.
