Kenya Railways has issued a notice to its tenants and licensees, urging them to ensure that their rent payments are up to date.
In a notice dated Tuesday, April 16, 2024,the notice instructs tenants to provide proof of payment to the nearest Kenya Railways office in Nairobi, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kisumu, or Eldoret.
The corporation aims to identify and address any discrepancies in transactions over recent months through this initiative. “Take note that the Corporation will take appropriate action as provided for in the Tenancy Agreement on failure to regularize the accounts,” the statement from Kenya Railways emphasized.
Tenants are encouraged to make payments through the *222# USSD code, where they can select their preferred payment option.
