Two individuals, Luis Borura Nyawira Otieno and Stephen Wafula Okoni, were brought before the court on Thursday, facing charges of breaking into and stealing from a shop owned by the son of former Director of Criminal Investigations, George Kinoti.

The accused allegedly stole property valued at Ksh.1.26 million from the establishment situated on Biashara Street in Nairobi’s Central Business District. Among the items reported stolen on April 1, 2024, were nine PlayStation 5 consoles, two PlayStation 4 consoles, twenty PlayStation pads, and 35 gaming disks.

Both suspects pleaded not guilty during their arraignment before Magistrate Robinson Ondieki. The magistrate deferred the decision on whether to grant bail to the accused, stating that a ruling would be delivered on Friday.

Meanwhile, the prosecution requested additional time to compile a comprehensive list of the stolen items.

The complainant, represented by lawyer Danstan Omari, expressed opposition to the release of the suspects on bail.
