A man and his girlfriend have been arrested following the death of a 22-year-old woman who was allegedly pushed off the second floor of a multi-story building in Lolwe estate, Kisumu.
Kisumu Central Sub-county Police Chief Peter Mulai reported that the incident occurred on Monday night after a disagreement between the deceased and the couple. The 30-year-old man is accused of pushing the woman from the balcony of his residence, leading to her fatal fall.
Neighbors stated that the deceased had followed the man to his residence and discovered him with another woman, aged 25, which sparked a dispute. According to the police chief, the man transported the injured woman to the hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival.
The couple is currently detained at Kisumu Central police station as investigations continue.
