Kenyan socialite and events host Amber Ray has set the internet ablaze after publicly accusing popular comedian and media personality Oga Obinna of attempting to pimp her out to a high-ranking government official.
The shocking allegations surfaced via Amber’s Instagram stories, where she posted a series of screenshots revealing her private conversation with the controversial entertainer.
💬 “It’s Disrespectful and Oppressive,” Amber Ray Speaks Out
In her scathing post, Amber Ray did not hold back. She called Obinna’s actions “deeply disrespectful,” adding that his behavior reflects a dangerous mindset that objectifies confident, independent women.
“These chats between me and Obinna speak volumes,” she wrote. “They expose a mindset where a man can try to pimp you out in one breath, then tell you how good you look together in the next.”
Amber, who has spent years building her brand in the Kenyan entertainment scene, expressed her disappointment and frustration over what she termed as “oppressive and demeaning behavior.”
“When a woman sets a boundary, she’s called difficult. When she says ‘no’, it becomes a personal attack. And when she succeeds, suddenly they want a piece of what they never helped build,” she continued.
👩👧 “I’ve Learned the Hard Way – But My Daughter Won’t”
The social media influencer went on to reflect on the personal lesson she’s learned from the encounter, vowing to empower her daughter to recognize red flags and uphold self-respect.
“Kindness is not weakness. Boundaries are a form of self-respect,” Amber emphasized.
🎥 Obinna Fires Back: Amber Ray Was Late and Drunk on Set
In a twist to the unfolding drama, Oga Obinna clapped back with accusations of his own. He alleged that Amber showed up late and intoxicated for a recent video shoot, claiming he paid her KSh 50,000 only to be kept waiting for five hours.
Amber, however, refuted the claims, saying she walked off the shoot due to Obinna’s lack of professionalism. She also clarified that the money was strictly for transport, not performance, and that she only agreed to appear as a favor.
“He paid for fuel. I was just giving him face,” she wrote in her rebuttal.
