The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on June 1, 2025, announced the arrest of four suspected criminals during a targeted operation in Kibera, Nairobi.

“Through acting on credible intelligence, a team of officers drawn from Kibera Police Station apprehended the criminals,” the DCI stated.

According to authorities, the suspects are believed to be behind a spate of criminal activities that have left residents of Kibera and surrounding areas living in fear.

“The arrested suspects have been terrorising innocent residents of Kibera,” DCI noted.

The suspects were flushed out of their hideout in the Line Saba area following a meticulously coordinated operation by the police.

A swift search at the scene led to the recovery of a homemade firearm, three rounds of 9mm ammunition, six smartphones, two laptops, and a camera lens.

The DCI confirmed that the suspects are currently in police custody, undergoing processing ahead of their arraignment. The recovered items remain secured as exhibits to aid ongoing investigations.
