Detectives have launched investigations after a 43-year-old salonist was found murdered at an apartment along Lumumba Drive in Roysambu.
Police identified the deceased as Faith Nyaga.
Family Raised Alarm
According to police, Nyaga became unreachable to her family members on Friday, prompting concern. On Saturday, relatives went to the apartment where she reportedly shared a rented unit with a man to check on her.
It was there that her lifeless body was discovered inside the house.
Multiple Stab Wounds
Authorities said the body had multiple stab wounds and visible bruises, suggesting a violent struggle before she was fatally attacked.
The motive behind the killing has not yet been established.
Prime Suspect Missing
The man she was reportedly living with, identified as Robert Mburu, has since gone missing.
Police are treating him as the prime suspect and have launched a manhunt to trace him.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending a postmortem examination as investigations continue.
