Global sportswear giant Nike has officially launched its first East African flagship store in Nairobi under the operation tag “Nike Nairobi.”

The new store is located on the first floor of Sarit Centre in Westlands, one of the city’s leading shopping and lifestyle destinations.

The move marks a major milestone for the global athletic brand, whose products have previously been sold in the region mainly through third-party retailers and multi-brand outlets in malls such as The Junction Mall and Westgate Shopping Mall.

The Sarit Centre outlet is now Nike’s first fully official retail presence in East Africa and is expected to provide customers with a direct and more immersive brand experience.

Nike, widely recognized as the world’s largest supplier of athletic footwear and apparel, is expected to use Nairobi as a strategic retail gateway into the wider East African market.

The launch also highlights Nairobi’s growing status as a regional business and retail hub attracting international brands seeking expansion opportunities in Africa.

Consumers visiting the store are expected to access a wider range of official Nike products, including footwear, sportswear, accessories and lifestyle collections.
