A former Cabinet Secretary in retired president Uhuru Kenyatta’s government has been conned more than 40 million shillings by wheeler-dealers claiming to be close to President William Ruto on claims that they will enable her appointed to a senior position.

The former CS who stuck with Ruto after he fell out with Kenyatta managed to remain at her position as the rest of the former DP’s allies were being kicked out. She was thinking that her loyalty to the current president would get her a cabinet position only for her name to miss out when Cabinet Secretaries were appointed.

Worse, she had already sponsored several media articles showing how likely she was to get a cabinet position and spent millions of shillings paying brokers during several meetings held at Cedars restaurant in Kilimani where she also runs a night club.

After missing out in the cabinet list, the brokers; one of whom had been banned from State House after his schemes were discovered promised the former CS a Principal Secretary Position. She also missed out.

The brokers are now asking for more money and have promised the former CS that she will be appointed to head the National Youth Service (NYS).
