In a powerful demonstration of solidarity, Arab Ambassadors accredited in Kenya have come together to advocate for the rights and welfare of the Palestinian people.

During a gathering at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Nairobi, these envoys, representing a diverse range of Arab nations, issued a joint declaration to reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and to call for immediate international intervention to address the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The meeting emphasized the critical importance of safeguarding the rights of the Palestinian population, particularly their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign state, based on the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its recognized capital.

The Arab Ambassadors highlighted the necessity of pursuing a just and comprehensive lasting peace, strongly endorsing the two-state solution as the most strategically sound path to ensure regional stability and the well-being of its nations and inhabitants. The diplomats expressed deep concern about the escalating violence and the catastrophic consequences it could yield if left unchecked.

The issuance of this declaration aligns with Resolution No. 8987, issued by the Council of the League of Arab States during an extraordinary ministerial-level meeting, convened to address Israeli aggression and chart a course towards peace and security in the region.

The declaration emphasizes several key principles, including an immediate cessation of conflict. The Arab Ambassadors are calling for an immediate halt to Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip and its surrounding areas.

They are urging all parties involved to exercise restraint and have highlighted the perilous humanitarian and security implications of a protracted conflict.

The Ambassadors have also strongly condemned the ongoing violations endured by the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation, particularly denouncing recent acts of aggression and rights infringements.

Additionally, they have called for the lifting of the Gaza Siege to allow unrestricted access for humanitarian aid, food, and fuel. They emphasize the crucial role of international organizations, particularly UNRWA, in providing indispensable support during this critical period.

Furthermore, the Ambassadors have advocated for the pursuit of a Just Peace, insisting on the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, coexisting peacefully with Israel in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The Ambassadors have also called for a revival of the Peace Process, stressing the need for substantive negotiations between the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Israel. They emphasize the potential repercussions of a lack of genuine political prospects for peace.

This unified declaration underscores the unwavering support of the Arab diplomatic community for the Palestinian cause and the compelling need for global action to address the ongoing crisis in the region.

It stands as a testament to the dedication of Arab nations to seek a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, guided by universally recognized principles and agreements.
