Detectives investigating the chilling murder of 20-year-old Rita Waeni have revealed that a stone, believed to have been used to submerge her head, was found in her clothing. The human head, believed to belong to Rita Waeni and the stone were discovered wrapped inside a purple blouse.

According to detectives, the presence of the stone inside the clothes and next to the head implies the perpetrator(s) seemingly intended to sink the victim’s head underwater.

However, the macabre plan went awry, with Rita Waeni’s head instead floating on the dam’s surface.

The head, at the time of discovery, showed signs of decomposition. It has since been transported to the City Mortuary for further analysis and identification.

Despite the shocking nature of the incident, local residents appeared unsurprised. They cited numerous previous cases of bodies being discarded in the dam.

Community members express concerns about the lack of adequate security measures, such as a fence, around the dam, given that it is a frequented area for swimming. They have urged the government to address these security issues promptly.
