Legendary musician David Mathenge, widely known as Nameless, recently shed light on how he and his wife, Wahu, navigated the expectations surrounding the gender of their youngest child, Shiro.
During an event where Sai Pharmaceuticals Kenya Limited unveiled the Mathenges as the official brand ambassadors for the upgraded NipNap Premium Baby Diapers, Nameless offered insights into their family journey.
According to Nameless, before publicly revealing their pregnancy, they had already undergone scans that confirmed they were expecting a baby girl.
“When we announced that we were expecting a child, we knew we were expecting a girl, even when everyone was telling us they knew it was going to be a boy,” Nameless said.
For the Mathenges, Nameless emphasized that their priority has always been the well-being of their children, prioritizing health over gender expectations.
“It’s really not about a boy or a girl; it’s about a healthy baby,” Nameless emphasised.
The proud father of three expressed that having daughters does not diminish his role as a parent.
“A baby that you can be able to impact. For us, we were excited that Shiro came healthy and as the beautiful shiny star she is. I am always super excited about being baba girls,” he added.
