Gatundu South Member of Parliament, GG Kagombe is currently on the run after being linked to a shooting incident in Thika Town that resulted in a man’s death.

Police say they have been unable to locate Kagombe for a court appearance following the approval of murder charges by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The charges relate to a fatal shooting that occurred during a violent confrontation between rival groups in Thika, Kiambu County, on Friday, May 17.

Kagombe who is a licenced firearm holder claims he is currently receiving hospital treatment after being attacked during the chaos.

The incident resulted in the death of 26-year-old David Nduati and serious injury to Anthony Kamau, who was shot in the chest and is recovering in the hospital.
