Ezekiel Mutua, CEO of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya, has lauded US Ambassador to Kenya, Meg Whitman, as Kenya’s best brand ambassador abroad. Praising her action-oriented approach to her diplomatic duties, Mutua expressed his admiration for Whitman’s efforts to strengthen US-Kenya trade and investment relations.
“Since I arrived in Kenya, my team and I have been laser-focused on strengthening the US-Kenya trade and investment relationship in coordination with the Kenyan government,” Whitman stated on June 28, 2023, in a message to Americans, encouraging US investors to explore opportunities in Kenya.
Mutua took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his opinion, saying, “Meg is the reason Kenya is shining abroad. She is our best brand Ambassador. I see her as Kenya’s Ambassador to America and the most patriotic envoy we have had, a true friend to Kenya. This one should be given a Kenyan name and permanent residence.”
Before her appointment as the US Ambassador to Kenya by President Joe Biden in 2022, Whitman had a distinguished career as a chief executive officer. Notably, she served as president and CEO of eBay from 1998 to 2008.
