Police are holding a 24-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed and killed her 40-year-old mother during a fight in Sengera, Nyamira.
Lydia Moturi succumbed to chest injuries following the altercation with her daughter on Friday.
The daughter, who was also injured in the clash, is currently admitted to Kisii Referral Hospital under police watch. The motive behind the fatal fight is yet to be disclosed. Police were alerted to the fight and arrived at the scene to find bloodstains and a bloodstained knife. Further investigations are ongoing.
