The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a reduction in the prices of Super Petrol and Kerosene by KSh1.00 per litre in its latest monthly fuel price review. However, the cost of Diesel remains unchanged.

Effective from midnight, August 14, 2025, the new retail prices in Nairobi are:

  • Super Petrol – KSh185.31 per litre
  • Diesel – KSh171.58 per litre
  • Kerosene – KSh155.58 per litre

These new rates will remain in place for the next 30 days.

EPRA conducts monthly reviews to align local pump prices with global oil market trends and the landed cost of petroleum products. The move to lower petrol and kerosene prices is expected to slightly ease the cost of living for motorists and households using kerosene for cooking and lighting.

For more details on how EPRA sets fuel prices, visit the EPRA official website.
