Public transport giant Super Metro has announced plans to enter the digital taxi industry with the launch of a new ride-hailing platform dubbed Super Go.
The move marks the company’s official expansion beyond its matatu operations, which have earned it a reputation for discipline, reliability, and efficiency along major Nairobi routes such as Kikuyu, Juja, and Ngong.
According to Super Metro, Super Go will merge cutting-edge ride-hailing technology with the trusted professionalism of its brand, offering passengers a seamless and safe urban mobility experience.
Super Go to Begin Operations in Nairobi
The company revealed that Super Go taxis will initially operate within Nairobi County, with plans to expand to other major towns such as Nakuru, Kisumu, and Mombasa based on commuter demand.
Super Metro said its entry into the digital taxi space is driven by the growing need for affordable, safe, and customer-focused transport options, especially among tech-savvy urban commuters.
Embracing Digital Innovation
The launch positions Super Metro among a growing list of Kenyan transport operators embracing digital transformation to meet the evolving needs of city dwellers.
“Super Go will redefine convenience by combining the affordability of matatus with the comfort and reliability of private rides,” the company said in a statement.
The firm added that the service will prioritize safety, fair pricing, and superior customer experience as its core pillars to remain competitive in Kenya’s increasingly crowded ride-hailing market.
