A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Kamulu area of Nairobi County following an argument believed to have stemmed from a love triangle.

The victim, identified as Joab Tunguta, was attacked in the early hours of Friday after a confrontation with a group of friends. According to police, the disagreement reportedly involved a woman, although investigations are still ongoing to confirm the motive.

Witnesses said the group — which included several women — was earlier seen engaging in a heated exchange in the Twin Bird area before the situation escalated. Tunguta was allegedly stabbed in the chest during the confrontation.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was later moved to the morgue pending a post-mortem examination.

Police say no arrests have been made, but detectives are pursuing leads and interviewing individuals who were present during the incident.

The stabbing has left residents of Kamulu shocked, with many calling for improved security and quicker conflict-resolution interventions among young people.
