Socialite and businesswoman Huddah Monroe has sparked online debate after posting a video on her Instagram Stories criticizing the behavior of Kenyan men.
In the video, Huddah expressed frustration over what she described as entitled and disrespectful interactions, contrasting them with manners she has experienced in other countries. She highlighted that in some cultures, men approach women politely, often asking, “Excuse me ma’am, permission to speak freely,” which she believes fosters genuine dialogue and compliments.
“Kenyan men come with so much audacity. Even if I met you yesterday and I’m not interested in dating you, I don’t remember you,” Huddah remarked.
She explained that repeated disrespectful encounters have led her to avoid unnecessary greetings or conversations in public:
“Mkiniona mahali, msinisalimie,” she said, making it clear she does not welcome random interactions.
Huddah went further, declaring she would rather remain single than consider marrying a Kenyan man under the current circumstances. However, she made an exception for Gen Z men, whom she described as respectful, polite, and well-mannered compared to millennials and older men.
“The only Kenyan men who can talk to me are Gen Z. They’re very respectful. These millennial and Wantam-age men are a product of their environment,” she stated.
Her remarks have ignited conversation across social media platforms, with fans and critics debating the behavior of Kenyan men and the changing dynamics of dating culture.
