The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) results will be released on December 11, marking a crucial milestone for Grade 8 learners transitioning to the next level under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
According to the Ministry, Grade 9 placement results will be released a week later, allowing learners and parents enough time to prepare for the next phase of junior secondary education.
Principal Secretary Julius Bitok further announced that all Grade 9 learners must report to school on January 10, aligning with the reopening of schools for the 2026 academic year.
“This timeline ensures smooth placement, preparation, and transition for all learners,” PS Bitok said.
The upcoming KJSEA results remain highly anticipated as they will determine student placement in Grade 9 across public, private, and special institutions.
