Kenyan actor Bilal Wanjau, popularly known as Webster Jnr, has passed away due to diabetes-related complications, leaving the entertainment industry and fans in mourning.

Sandra Dacha confirmed the sad news in a heartfelt social media post, praising Wanjau as a talented actor and director. “It is with profound sorrow that I announce the untimely passing of my colleague Bilal Wanjau this early morning due to complications,” she shared.

Wanjau was best known for his role on Tahidi High on Citizen TV and had appeared in other productions including Lies that Bind, Pepeta, and the comedy series Jela 5 Star. He also had a notable presence in films and stage plays, often celebrated for portraying relatable and memorable characters.

In 2017, Wanjau won a Kalasha Award for Best Performance in a Comedy for his work on Jela 5 Star. His burial is scheduled for Friday, December 5, at his family home in Machakos.
