ODM youth leader Rachel Tabitha has taken a swipe at political activist Kasmuel McOure, accusing him of repeatedly lecturing party members despite allegedly failing to support the party during key political moments.
Speaking during an online exchange, Tabitha claimed that McOure did not take part in campaigning for ODM leader Raila Odinga during past elections. She said party loyalists were actively mobilising support on the ground while McOure was largely absent.
“We were out knocking on doors looking for Baba’s votes, while Kasmuel was busy playing piano in small joints, unbothered. Yet he now thinks he can lecture everyone on party discipline,” Tabitha said.
McOure has in recent months been vocal in his criticism of ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna. He has accused Sifuna of undermining fellow party leaders and of publicly opposing the party’s involvement in the broad-based government arrangement.
The exchange highlights growing internal tensions within ODM, particularly among youthful figures who remain divided over leadership style, loyalty, and the party’s direction following recent political realignments.
