A man identifying himself as “Yaytseslav” and claiming to be Russian has gone viral after sharing dozens of videos documenting his encounters with women in Nairobi, Kenya, and Accra, Ghana.
The clips, which are circulating widely on TikTok, X, and Telegram, show the Caucasian man approaching women in public spaces before later recording them in private settings.
How the Encounters Unfolded
In the now-viral videos, the man is seen approaching women in malls, supermarkets, and along walkways. He typically begins by complimenting them, initiating brief conversations, and then asking them out.
According to the footage shared online, he proposes meeting either later the same day or the following day. In many of the clips, the women later appear in his hotel room or Airbnb apartment.
Notably, the man does not show his face in any of the videos.
Social Media Reactions and Concerns
The videos have sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms. While some users have expressed surprise at how quickly the women agree to meet a stranger in private spaces, others have raised serious concerns about consent, privacy, and the legality of recording individuals without clear permission.
Digital safety advocates have pointed out that filming and publishing such encounters without explicit consent could potentially violate privacy laws in both Kenya and Ghana.
Ongoing Online Debate
As the clips continue to spread, debate is intensifying over issues of personal responsibility, online exploitation, and the ethical implications of monetizing or publicizing private interactions.
Authorities in both countries have not yet issued official statements regarding the viral content.
