Kenyan content creator Yoo Mama has sparked online debate after sharing a blunt video addressing men who frequently send her romantic messages without offering any form of financial support.
In the viral clip shared on her social media platforms, the outspoken influencer questioned the sincerity of admirers who profess love but fail to back their words with even minimal financial gestures.
Speaking in Swahili, Yoo Mama mocked the men who regularly flood her inbox with affectionate messages while making no effort to support her financially.
“Unaniambia unanipenda na hujatuma hata mia?” she asked, translating to, “You’re telling me you love me but you can’t even send KSh100?”
The content creator expressed disbelief that some men invest time crafting romantic messages while ignoring what she described as basic expectations.
“Unaniambia unanipenda, lakini hata mia moja huwezi nitumia? Hiyo mapenzi yako ni ya aina gani?” she said, questioning the authenticity of such declarations.
Yoo Mama went on to draw a clear line between affection and financial responsibility, insisting that love without financial stability holds little value to her.
“Mapenzi bila pesa ni kelele,” she remarked, adding that men without money should refrain from approaching her.
The video quickly gained traction online, drawing mixed reactions from social media users. While some applauded her honesty and boundaries, others criticised her remarks as materialistic.
Yoo Mama is known for her bold and unapologetic online persona, often sharing controversial opinions that spark debate among her followers.
