Marion Naipei, the 22-year-old woman who has dominated social media conversations across Kenya, has broken her silence over viral videos that sparked widespread online debate, saying the clips represent her past and that she has since turned to faith.
In a bold statement shared on Instagram, Naipei dismissed the circulating videos as part of a chapter she has left behind, announcing what she described as a spiritual transformation.
“The videos are from my past. I have given my life to God,” she wrote, before challenging her critics with a statement that has since gone viral:
“Kama kuna limit ya kuokoka mniambie,” loosely translated as “If there is a limit to being saved, please tell me.”
Her remarks come after weeks of intense public scrutiny following the circulation of disturbing footage allegedly recorded at a Nairobi entertainment venue, which drew mixed reactions online.
Initial reports claimed the videos may have been recorded without her consent. However, emerging claims linked to forensic investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) suggest the footage may have originated from her own device, a development that has further complicated the narrative surrounding the incident.
Amid the controversy, Naipei sought spiritual refuge at Salvation and Healing Ministry in Nairobi, led by Pastor Victor Kanyari, where she shared her testimony during a church service.
She told congregants that she felt “saved” after prayers, marking what she described as a new beginning in her life.
Pastor Kanyari publicly welcomed Naipei into the ministry and announced plans to ordain her as a pastor, a move that has itself sparked fresh debate on social media.
The incident continues to fuel discussions on digital privacy, public judgment, and personal redemption, with Naipei’s declaration drawing both support and criticism from Kenyans online.
