Police are investigating the killing of a 25-year-old man who was stabbed and fatally wounded in a targeted attack in the Kariobangi area of Nairobi.
The deceased, identified as Samson Wesonga, was walking home from his place of work on Saturday, January 31, 2025, when he was confronted by two men riding on a motorcycle.
According to police and witness accounts, one of the suspects alighted from the motorcycle, briefly confronted Wesonga, and stabbed him in the shoulder before jumping back onto the waiting motorcycle and fleeing the scene.
Wesonga, who worked at a local bakery, was rushed to a nearby chemist for first aid, but he succumbed to excessive bleeding before receiving medical attention.
Police have described the incident as a targeted attack and say investigations are ongoing as detectives pursue the assailants.
