Microfinance firm Huduma Credit, associated with businessman Jimal RohoSafi, is once again facing scrutiny following fresh allegations of fraud.
Youths Storm Offices
Dozens of youths on Tuesday stormed the company’s offices demanding refunds after failing to receive electric motorbikes they had been promised.
According to the group, each individual had paid a deposit of at least KSh 15,000 with the expectation of acquiring the bikes through a financing arrangement.
Over 500 Alleged Victims
A spokesperson for the affected group claimed that more than 500 youths are yet to receive the motorbikes despite making payments.
Frustration boiled over as the protesters sought answers and refunds from the company.
No Response from Company
At the time of the protest, there were reportedly no officials or staff present at the Huduma Credit offices to address the concerns raised by the aggrieved youths.
Repeat Allegations
This is not the first time the firm has been linked to such claims.
In October 2025, Huduma Credit was at the centre of a similar controversy, where it was accused of defrauding over 2,000 youths of at least KSh 24 million in motorbike loan deals that allegedly failed to materialize.
Growing Concerns
The recurring allegations have raised concerns among members of the public, particularly young people seeking financing opportunities, with calls for investigations and accountability continuing to grow.
