Popular Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki has declared his intention to contest for the Ol Joro Orok parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Elections.
The former police officer revealed that he will vie for the seat on a ticket from the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), a political outfit associated with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Rallying Youth to Register as Voters
In a poster shared online, Samidoh urged young Kenyans to register as voters ahead of the upcoming elections, emphasizing the importance of civic participation.
“Democracy works when you show up. One registration today, a lifetime of impact tomorrow. Niko kadi je wewe? Oljoroorok001,” he stated.

Samidoh, widely known for his influence in the Mugithi music scene, now joins a growing list of Kenyan entertainers transitioning into politics.
