A woman caught shoplifting at a supermarket in Kasarani has sparked debate after claiming her actions were influenced by alleged witchcraft.

Viral Incident Raises Questions

In a video widely shared online, the woman—who identified herself as Purity from Kitui County—is seen surrounded by members of the public questioning her over the incident.

Claims of Possession

When asked why she was stealing, she attributed her actions to supernatural forces.

“Nikama ni spirit nilitupiwa,” she said, suggesting she believed she had been possessed by evil spirits.

Items Recovered

During the confrontation, the woman was seen holding several items, including soap, lotions, two packets of Royco cubes, and other small household products.

She maintained her claims throughout the exchange, insisting that external forces influenced her behaviour.

Personal Details Shared

The woman provided her father’s contact, stating he lives in Kariokor, while she resides in Sunton within Kasarani.
