The Kenyan government, through the Ministry of Labour, has announced more than 4,000 job opportunities in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Bahrain targeting Kenyan youths seeking overseas employment.
According to Alfred Mutua, the vacancies span multiple sectors including domestic work, transport, hospitality, healthcare and construction.
The advertised positions include househelps, boda boda riders, caregivers, nurses, electricians, plumbers, construction site helpers, juice makers, waiters, baristas and security guards among others.
Mutua said the initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to create employment opportunities and connect Kenyan youths with overseas labour markets.
The salaries for the jobs reportedly range between KSh15,000 and KSh180,000 depending on the role and destination country.
Interested applicants have been urged to attend interviews at National Industrial Training Authority centres in Mombasa from Wednesday, May 6, to Friday, May 8, 2026, between 8AM and 5PM daily.
“No recruitment/agency fee charged. Other costs are regulated and payable only through official channels. Government agencies (NEA, NITA, etc.) will be present for support,” Mutua stated.
Applicants have been advised to carry their original national ID cards, CVs and academic or professional certificates during the interviews.
The announcement comes amid continued government efforts to expand labour export programmes as a way of addressing unemployment and increasing remittances from Kenyans working abroad.
