President William Ruto was spotted wearing an expensive watch and leather loafers during his recent meeting with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

In a shared photo, Ruto emphasized the strong partnership between Kenya and Uganda based on years of East African brotherhood, cooperative efforts, and ongoing engagement.

Ruto added that the discussions between the two leaders covered various shared interests, including trade, security, and agriculture.

What has however drawn the attention of Kenyans is how Ruto appeared stylish during the meeting.

Keen observers noted his eye-catching watch and designer shoes.

One observant Twitter user, @davidjesse_, pointed out that Ruto was wearing an A. Lange & Sohne Moon-phase watch and Salvatore Ferragamo penny loafers.

This opulence raised eyebrows, especially since Ruto typically opts for Kaunda suits which carry a different image.

The watch Ruto was sporting is crafted from 18-carat red gold and features cambered sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both sides, a transparent sapphire case back, and an intricately hand-engraved moon phase detail.

As for the loafers, they are cut from hammered leather with a natural grain, artisan buffed for depth of color, and finished with a flexible rubber sole.
