Bishop Margaret Wanjiru of the Jesus is Alive Ministries has strongly rebuked and criticized President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua in response to a recent police raid on her church premises.
During a press conference held on Thursday, Bishop Wanjiru, accompanied by numerous church members, expressed her dismay and disappointment following the clash with law enforcement officers.
“I was one of the founding members of UDA. I dedicated a whole year to campaigning, while others merely sought to exploit what I had tirelessly worked for, yet I remained steadfast,” declared Wanjiru.
“I have shown you loyalty, Mr. President. I have shown you loyalty, Mr. Deputy President. I have embraced your family. When you beckoned, I obeyed. But now, things are changing,” she added.
She recounted the events of the confrontation, alleging mistreatment by police officers, including physical assault and sexual harassment.
“I, Margaret Wanjiru, was subjected to physical violence. My clothing was forcibly lifted by young men who happen to be police officers. They touched my modesty… me? A woman of God. I want to make a solemn pledge to you,” continued Wanjiru, her voice brimming with emotion.
“Believe me, you will come looking for me. You may have reached out to Benny Hinn in America, but I assure you, you will seek me out. I refuse to budge. I am rooted here,” Wanjiru said.
“We are wounded, we are suffering, but mark my words. This battle transcends earthly realms. You may employ the MD of Kenya Railways against me. I pity his family. Because as I shed tears yesterday, his family, along with yours, will not be spared. My tears will serve as payment.”
