A 23-year-old woman is hospitalized at Magunga Level 4 Hospital, after her husband chopped off some of her fingers in a domestic squabble in Hom Bay.

Reports indicate that the woman’s husband, who is currently on the run, assaulted both his wife and their 2-year-old son with a blunt object.

The woman bore the brunt of the attack, suffering the traumatic loss of three of her fingers in the assault, which occurred at the Magunga trading centre.

Richard Ojuok, the doctor in charge at Magunga Hospital, has confirmed that both victims are now in stable condition following the horrifying ordeal. They are currently receiving medical care at the hospital.

Suba Sub County Deputy County Commissioner, Sebastian Okiring, has corroborated the incident, affirming that law enforcement agencies have initiated a manhunt for the suspect, who remains at large. Authorities are actively pursuing leads to ensure the apprehension of the perpetrator and to deliver justice for the victims of this senseless act of violence.
