Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has publicly accused Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of orchestrating a campaign to set him up against President William Ruto. In a series of posts on his social media accounts, Kuria alleged that Gachagua’s team had created fake accounts using his name to launch attacks on the President.
Kuria claimed that the Deputy President’s team had not only targeted President Ruto but also key allies such as Majority Leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichung’wah and Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro. Additionally, Kuria accused Gachagua of inciting political conflicts against Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.
“Dear Team Rigathi Gachagua. Stop it! You have set up a whole unit to create fake accounts in my name to fight President Ruto, Governor Sakaja, Hon Ichung’wah, Hon Ndindi Nyoro, etc.,” Kuria alleged. “Please! I don’t have any problem with you. You are doing more harm than good to your boss.”
This isn’t the first instance of tension between Kuria and Gachagua. Recently, Kuria publicly criticized the Deputy President for his attempts to interfere with the Mt Kenya caucus, known as Limuru III.
