The family of veteran journalist Sophie Ikenye has made an urgent appeal to the public to help raise KSh 5 million for her surgery and ongoing medical treatment.
In a statement, the family revealed that Sophie has been undergoing treatment at various medical facilities for the past eight months. However, they did not disclose details about her illness.
Despite their best efforts to cover her medical expenses, the family has now exhausted all available funds and is seeking support from well-wishers.
“We are reaching out to you—her family, friends, fans, and well-wishers—to help us raise KSh 5 million to facilitate an urgent surgery and ongoing treatment,” the appeal read.
The family also urged the public to offer their prayers, kindness, and financial support during this challenging time.
