A school bus belonging to Nova Pioneer overturned along Mombasa Road in the Sabaki area, Athi River, Machakos County.
The bus, which had schoolchildren on board, was involved in a self-involved accident while heading toward Mombasa. However, Athi River South Sub-County Police Commander Philis Muthoni confirmed that all the children are safe.
“It was a self-involved road accident incident,” Muthoni stated.
Following the accident, the bus was towed to Athi River Police Station, where it awaits inspection. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
